My favorite radio, I do own one of these. This radio claims 8+ watts. I have tested it with my meter on several antennas and it has been as high as nearly 12 watts. Other brand radios make various wattage claims but never test out anywhere close to their claim. In addition to this UV9PX HT I have a Wouxun UV9P mobile in my truck. This is a custom radio that you can only get from BetterSafeRadio.com. It comes pre-loaded with nearly 1000 SHTF frequencies. Frequencies can be expanded and opened for transmit.
