NEPAGMRS (Northeastern PA General Mobile Radio Service) is a group of licensed GMRS operators based in Northeastern PA. We operate on the Bear Creek 462.725 (22 repeater frequency) (tone is TX-D131N and RX-D131N) which is a privately owned repeater. We also have a Facebook group, (NEPAGMRS) with 274 members. We run a NET every Tuesday evening at 7 pm eastern time.
We are in the process of setting up a NEPAGMRS simplex relay network in case of emergencies and the repeater goes down. We will use the GMRS channel 22 simplex with the same tone as the repeater, (TX-D131N and RX-D131N.

We will continue to add to this list as members join. Our plan is to create a visual map of all of our locations for relay messaging purposes. The map can be kept on your phone or printed off for your go bag. This will enable everyone to see who is closest to them. Will will also create a default priority NET CONTROLLER list to keep communications organized and controlled for relaying.
Several members are working on various enhancements for simplex relaying such as a simplex repeater and mobile radios that have repeater options. This is all a work in progress.
We will be using the Tuesday Night NET to begin testing the relay network soon.
